Family
Kajol is the daughter of Tanuja and Shomu Mukherjee and niece of Nutan and Joy Mukherjee. Her real sister is Tanishaa of Bigg Boss fame and she is cousins with Monish Bahl, Rani Mukerji and Ayan Mukerji.
Blockbusters With Shah Rukh Khan
She has been paired opposite Shah Rukh Khan in six films and all went on to become blockbusters, especially Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge which broke all box office records.

Courted controversy when she posed with veteran actress Rekha in only a sweater for the cover of a magazine! This did not go down too well with Indian audiences.
Involved In Social Activity Too
Kajol has done a lot of social work and is involved with Shiksha, an NGO that works in the field of children's education. She is the international goodwill ambassador and patron of The Loomba Trust.
She Also Suffered Miscarriage
In 2001, Kajol was pregnant with her first child. However, she suffered a miscarriage. In 2010, Kajol and Shah Rukh, became the first Indian actors to be invited by NASDAQ to open American stock exchange.
